NEST AT SCRIBE | Sonoma, CA
Reemphasizing the local spirit of Scribe Winery city of Sonoma California, Nest at Scribe serves as a place for visitors to discover a new point of collective central destination that takes consideration of three-dimensional spatial network using grid organization.
To create engaging qualities that are very much in touch with nature.
The project is designed using wooden frame structure that resembles a Japanese larch forest. Larch timber columns are anchored in the mat foundation to provide the building’s primary structural support.
Each column is a composite of four 6×6 glulam timbers, held together by steel plates and bolts to create rigid moment connection. This allows the pavilion to float above the ground with volumes nested on the structure.
