Villa Batu Bolong | Bali, IND
The notation of a boutique resort and beautiful villas in Bali specially Canggu, are well known for extravagant approach towards a lush and exotic design that follows the culture and nature of Bali itself.
Villa Batu Bolong is designed with clean lines and natural material compositions with a contemporary approach towards the architectural concept. The project is situated on a 1255m2 site, sandwiched between neighboring buildings giving low privacy but granting unobstructed view of a vast greenery landscape. Thus, the programs composition of Villa Batu Bolong is strategically placed in a fragmented pavilion manner, creating positive and negative space into personal courtyards and intimate views, by breaking up the volume mass of its living space. These placements allow a centralized living space, blurring the inside and outside spatial experiences.
The strategic composition of masses is captured by a massive overhead plane, floating above the pavilions that acts as a shelter, while still allowing daylight penetration in all direction. Another volume is stacked on top, enabling a 360° panorama view of surrounding greeneries.
