The Design Series, organized by Anakata Series, recently hosted an engaging talk show focused on Commercial Architecture.
We were honored to hold this event at our newly completed project, Talaga Sampireun Bali. It was a pleasure to share insights with such an engaged audience. The talk show took place in January 2024 and featured esteemed architects and speakers, including Gerard Tambunan, Alvin Jo, and Magat Khatulistiwa. The experience was enriching, providing us with valuable insights!
We are grateful for the opportunity to be guest speakers at Architalk 0.3, part of the annual Architectural Design Week organized by IMARTA (Ikatan Mahasiswa Arsitektur Universitas Tarumanegara).
The theme of our talk, “Immerse Yourself in Aural Architecture: A Sensory-Based Experience”, was explored during the event held in July 2023 at Tarumanegara University. We discussed how architecture can foster meaningful interactions between space and users through various design approaches. Additionally, we delved into how different senses contribute to the spatial experience within specific environments.

Held in June 2023 at Taman Ismail Marzuki, this event featured discussions on creativity alongside our fellow architect, Arthur Elmund. The main goal of the open talk was to emphasize the importance of creativity as one of the most sought-after life skills. Designers often unintentionally limit themselves when it comes to unique ideas. With the theme “Beyond Boundaries”, we aimed to inspire students and others to be more expressive and courageous in exploring the design field beyond their limits.

The Open Talk Series took place at Royal Tulip Darmo Surabaya in June 2023, focusing on the topic “Proses Desain: Bangunan Rumah Tinggal & Interior.” We discussed several of our architecture and interior projects, including The Rice Barn House, Antarakata Coffee, and House on V-Stilts. We were thrilled to be invited to this talk show alongside fellow designer David W. Sampurna and moderator Briantara.
We were honored to be invited as guest speakers at the Podomoro University Design Festival 6.0.
The main topic of the talk show was “Emotionarium: A Journey Through the Spectrum of Human Emotion,” and our studio focused on the specific theme of Place Attachment.
It was a fantastic opportunity to share our knowledge and engage with college students. We explored how architectural design influences the emotional bonds that users develop with their environments. The discussion aimed to shed light on the architectural implications of Place Attachment and its significance in design.
