K-Thengono Design Studio was invited to OMAH Library to share the principal’s reflections and experiences in architecture, particularly on the key influences that have shaped our journey over the past five years. During the session, we also had the opportunity to recount how we were first introduced to architecture and what it's like to grow professionally within the field.

This event was part of Dara(h) Muda, a thoughtful initiative led by Realrich Sjarief, where young and emerging architects are invited to share their architectural narratives. We’re grateful for the chance to contribute to this inspiring platform and to exchange both professional insights and personal stories from our design journey.

We are honored to be invited to speak at Anakata Series: Palembang, presented by IAI Sumatera Selatan. Held on Friday, June 20th, 2025, this event brings together voices from the architecture and design community to explore the theme of "Diversity."

Indonesian Architects Week Kuala Lumpur 2024 (IAWKL 2024) exhibition was formally inaugurated on November 14, 2024, at The Godown in Kuala Lumpur. The opening ceremony was graced by distinguished figures, including Hendra P. Iskandar, Minister Counselor for Economic Affairs at the Indonesian Embassy in Malaysia; Ar. Georgius Budi Yulianto, ST., MT., Chairman of the Indonesian Architects Association (IAI); Prof. Ar. Adrianta Aziz, President of the Malaysian Institute of Architecture (PAM); Emily Wee, co-founder of The Godown; Deddy Wahjudi, co-founder and board member of IAWKL 2024; along with curators Rizki Supratman and Trianzani Sulshi.

The exhibition featured the works of 70 architectural firms from 11 provinces across Indonesia, each responding to the theme, “Equatorial Synaesthesia: An Exploration of Sensory Harmony and Spatial Perception, Revisiting the Tenets of Critical Regionalism.” This thought-provoking theme encouraged architects to examine the sensory interplay and spatial perception inherent to the equatorial region, blending these with the principles of regionalism in a contemporary and critical context.

We are honored to present our project, Talaga Sampireun Bali, at this esteemed exhibition, where it has been selected in the category of Cultural and Ecological Resonance. We hope this event fosters the collaborative spirit among Indonesian architects and provides an opportunity for international connections, allowing the global community to reconnect with the vibrant domestic architectural landscape.

Throughout the history of architecture, few materials have been as influential as wood. It is rare to encounter a building that does not incorporate wood in some form, and it continues to be a fundamental element in the construction of buildings today. In our studio, wood plays a central role in a wide range of projects, and through our ongoing explorations, we have gathered valuable experiences to share.

Today, we are truly honored to have the opportunity to share our findings on wood as a material to the students of Pelita Harapan University, with the topic "Wood Construction in Contemporary Architecture." Together with our esteemed moderator, Mr. Raymond Gandayuwana, and wood joinery supplier, Mario Kurniadi from Rothoblaas Indonesia, we are excited to do public lecture on the use of both solid and engineered wood. We also share precedent studies from some of our recently completed projects, including Collective Arc, Kencana Valley, Intertwined Residence, and the Wooden Pavilion.
