A client sought an unassuming workplace that prioritizes leisure over conventional office functions. Located in Jakarta’s Senopati district, a mixed-use area with low-rise buildings, the site offers views of the CBD skyline to the northeast and northwest.

The design process began by extruding a compact mass. To address limited parking, the building is elevated to create space for vehicles below. The program is organized across distinct levels: the first floor accommodates staff workspaces, the second includes a gym and entertainment room, the third and fourth floors are designated for directors, and the rooftop serves as a town hall for company events. A central circulation core connects all floors.
The rigid massing is interrupted by carving outdoor terraces on the third floor, which are then pulled downward to the front and back corners of the second floor. Each outdoor space is interconnected by staircases that loop around the building. Strategically placed, these terraces frame views of the CBD’s high-rise buildings. As extensions of the interiors, the outdoor spaces on the second floor connect to the gym and entertainment room, while those on the third floor serve the directors' lounge and offices. Furnished with seating and greenery, these landscaped areas form an oasis and provide informal meeting spaces where staff, directors, and guests can mingle and unwind.
Adaptable programming, layered thresholds, and integrated outdoor spaces foster a dynamic environment where work and leisure seamlessly converge.
The break in massing informs the facade design. Above the terraces, a cantilevered platform creates a floating effect. Below, the facade is clad in perforated metal for privacy and controlled light filtration. The upper levels are wrapped in woven rattan, creating a contrasting texture.
